Job summary

Caringhand Home Health Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to work with a licensed Physical Therapist in patients' homes. This field-based, per diem role involves travel to patient residences to provide care and support recovery of mobility and daily activities.

Responsibilities include delivering hands-on therapy, guiding exercises, modalities, and assessment, with opportunities to advance to full-time based on performance. Competitive per-visit compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Active PTA license from the Physical Therapy Board of California.
• Current CPR certification with AHA.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license, reliable insured vehicle, and willingness to travel to patient homes.
• Willingness to travel to patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, following each patient's care plan.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and the use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics.
• Apply physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to relieve pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Document care accurately and on time, and participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Caringhand Home Health Solutions, you will work alongside a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover, regain mobility, and return to the activities they love — all from the comfort of their homes.

This is a field-based, per diem position that requires travel to patients’ homes. Although listed as “remote,” this is not a work-from-home or telehealth role. Compensation is $90-$95 per visit.
