Job summary

Caringhand Home Health Solutions, Inc. is seeking a field-based Physical Therapist Assistant to travel to patients' homes and deliver in-home physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed PT.

This per diem role emphasizes mobility restoration and day-to-day self-care in a home setting. Requirements include an APTA-accredited PTA degree, CA PTA license, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license from the California Physical Therapy Board.
• Current CPR certification (AHA).
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and use of assistive devices.
• Apply modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Document care accurately and participate in team meetings and training.

Education

As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Caringhand Home Health Solutions, you will work alongside a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover, regain mobility, and return to the activities they love — all from the comfort of their homes.

This is a field-based, per diem position that requires travel to patients’ homes. Although listed as “remote,” this is not a work-from-home or telehealth role. Compensation is $90-$95 per visit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, following each patient's care plan.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and the use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics.
• Apply physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to relieve pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Document care accurately and on time, and participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services
