Job summary

Caringhand Home Health Solutions, Inc is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to travel to patients’ homes for hands-on therapy, under a licensed PT. This field-based per diem role focuses on mobility restoration and daily living activities in home settings.

The ideal candidate will have a PTA license in California, an Associate’s degree from an APTA-accredited program, CPR certification, and a willingness to travel. Flexible scheduling and mileage reimbursement are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an APTA-accredited PTA program.
• Active California PTA license.
• Current CPR certification with AHA.
• Valid driver’s license with insured vehicle and willingness to travel to patient homes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on physical therapy under the direction of a licensed PT.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training.
• Apply modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the PT and care team.
• Document care accurately and on time; participate in team meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services.

Education

As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Caringhand Home Health Solutions, you will work alongside a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover, regain mobility, and return to the activities they love — all from the comfort of their homes.

This is a field-based, per diem position that requires travel to patients’ homes. Although listed as “remote,” this is not a work-from-home or telehealth role. Compensation is $90-$95 per visit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, following each patient's care plan.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and the use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics.
• Apply physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to relieve pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Document care accurately and on time, and participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services
