Job summary

Caringhand Home Health Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to work with a licensed Physical Therapist in patients' homes across California. The role focuses on helping patients recover mobility and resume daily activities through hands-on therapy, gait training, and assisted devices.

The per diem position pays $90-$95 per visit. Travel to patient homes is required; a valid CA PTA license and CPR certification are essential, along with reliable transportation and strong

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Active PTA license from the Physical Therapy Board of California.
• Current CPR certification with AHA.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, following each patient’s care plan.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and use of assistive devices (wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, prosthetics).
• Apply physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to relieve pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Document care accurately and on time, participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services
