Job summary

Almaden Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a supportive team. You will administer treatments, perform tests, and contribute to discharge planning under established care plans.

The role requires an Associate degree in a PTA program and a California PTA license; 1 year of clinical experience preferred, with new graduates welcome. A sign-on bonus is available and relocation support may apply.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
