Skyline Healthcare Center-San Jose is hiring for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). The PTA will administer treatments for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues, perform strength/ROM tests, and follow a care plan to support resident recovery.

Requirements include an Associate degree in PTA, California PTA license, and 1 year of clinical experience preferred (new grads welcome). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, referral bonuses, and relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct clinical treatment per care plan.
• Maintains patient records confidentiality.
• Participates in home assessments and discharge planning with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes forms per policy and state/federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
