Job summary

Northwest Rehabilitation & Associates, a member of Therapy Partners Group, is recruiting an Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Salem, Oregon team. You will support physical therapists with exercise programs, patient education, and progress documentation in a collaborative outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree as a PTA, is licensed or eligible for licensure in Oregon, and is committed to exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree as Physical Therapy Assistant from accredited institution.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Outpatient experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities as instructed by the physical therapist.
• Assist PTs in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, modalities, and patient education.
• Monitor and document patient progress during treatment sessions using the electronic record.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, pain management, and care plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and safety.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient FollowUp: Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities as instructed by the physical therapist.
• Treatment Planning:Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Implement various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, modalities, and patient education.
• Documentation: While using Raintree, Monitor and document patient progress during treatment sessions, reporting changes to the physical therapist.
• Patient Education:Educate patients and families on exercises, pain management techniques, and care plans
• Professional Atmosphere: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and safety.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree as Physical Therapy Assistant from accredited institution.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Previous outpatient experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
