Job summary

Select Physical Therapy in Punta Gorda, FL is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic team. You will work with two PTs and one OT, treating orthopedic cases with opportunities in vestibular rehab, sports medicine, industrial therapy, fall prevention, and ACL programs.

New grads and experienced PTAs welcome! Starting pay is $27+ per hour, based on experience, with incentives including a $12,000 sign-on bonus and $200/month student loan repayment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Passed the CAPTE national examination.
• Valid state PTA license (or license in process).
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed PT as required by state law.
• Deliver high-quality PT services for orthopedics with minimal supervision.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers, patients, and staff.

You will work alongside two PT and one OT, treating primarily orthopedic cases with opportunities in vestibular rehab, sports medicine, industrial therapy, fall prevention, and ACL programs. New grads and experienced PTAs, welcome!

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification
