Job summary

Select Medical’s NovaCare outpatient orthopedic center in South Philadelphia is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for a full-time outpatient position. You’ll work Monday–Friday with mentorship to support new grads, treating diverse orthopedic cases and vestibular/post-concussion patients.

Experience and PA PTA license preferred. Join a respected clinical team focused on restoring function, improving activity, and helping patients return to sport, work, or daily life.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Must have passed the CAPTE national exam for PTAs.
• Valid state PTA license in PA (or actively in process).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Deliver high-quality PT services for orthopedic/outpatient populations.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients to expand relationships.

Overview

Position:Physical Therapist Assistant- Outpatient Orthopedics

Location: South Philadelphia, PA

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday. No Weekends!

Compensation: Hourly rate is between $30-$36 based on your experience.

Unique Location/Job Details: Establishedoutpatient PT clinic with 4 PTs plus front desks staff. Looking to add a PTA. Diverse patient mix with ortho, sports medicine and vestibular/post-concussion. Mentorship provided for new grads.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.


• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures


• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program


• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE


• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)


• CPR certification
