Beacon Health Options in Michigan seeks a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to perform prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The role includes documenting treatments, coordinating with staff, and participating in mandatory trainings.

Candidates must have an Associate's degree in PTA and a Michigan PTA license, plus BCLS/CPR certification and good standing credentials. This is a full-time on-site position with standard daytime hours.

• Schedule Full-time - Day - 9:30 to 6:00 M-T, 8:00-4:30 F

Conducts medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.

• Provides physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient
• population.
• Documents treatment interventions given.
• May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:

• Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
• Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
• Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
• Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
• Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
• Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
• Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
• Complies with established organization and department policies.
• Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.
• Serves as a Clinical Instructor for Therapy Students as requested by Departmental Leadership

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) credentialed from the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Education:
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
