Description
Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per PT Board regulations. Assist in maintaining the department and participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area. Treat patients according to the physician's treatment plan. Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides. Communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans. Participate in in-service training programs for staff. Record treatment changes following policies and procedures. Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training to prepare for discharge from therapy services. Report any equipment issues to ensure proper maintenance. Demonstrate the ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff, and colleagues.

This position is non-supervisory.

Physical Demands
Requires frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, frequent reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling. Capable of exerting significant force to move objects and occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must have good vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
