Job summary

Smith Therapy Partners, a premier outpatient orthopedics provider serving Las Vegas and surrounding communities, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join the team. The role involves implementing treatment plans, guiding patients through exercises, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

The PTA will document progress, support the physical therapist, and contribute to a positive, professional atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree as Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA.
• Outpatient experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient plans and perform therapeutic exercises as directed by the PT.
• Assist PT in developing and implementing treatment plans.
• Implement manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, modalities, and patient education.
• Document patient progress in the chart system (Raintree) and report changes to the PT.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, pain management, and care plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe patient care.

Pay: $28-32/hour depending on experience; Spanish speaking preferred!

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient FollowUp: Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities as instructed by the physical therapist.
• Treatment Planning: Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Implement various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, modalities, and patient education.
• Documentation: While using Raintree, Monitor and document patient progress during treatment sessions, reporting changes to the physical therapist.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and families on exercises, pain management techniques, and care plans
• Professional Atmosphere: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and safety.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree as Physical Therapy Assistant from accredited institution.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Previous outpatient experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
