Job summary

Mariner Healthcare's Inglewood Healthcare Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support residents with rehabilitative care under PT supervision. Implement treatment plans and document progress to track patient outcomes.

We offer a salary range of $81,120 to $93,600, with a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. New graduates are welcome; relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the State of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers PTA treatment within scope of practice and federal guidelines.
• Measures muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate in home assessments to ensure safe discharge with PT/OT support.
• Completes required forms and documents per company policy and state/federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
