Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating and assessing patients' conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to improve mobility, strength, and overall function.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  • Stay current with advancements and best practices in physical therapy.

Education

Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
