Job description

Position Title: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric

Salary Range: $28.03 - $30.81 per hour

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, no weekend rotation

Job Summary

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at this facility, you will play a crucial role in helping our geriatric patients achieve their maximum physical potential and maintain their independence. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and assessments to determine their physical abilities and limitations
• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patients' strength, mobility, and range of motion
• Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to continue their progress at home
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient treatments and progress
• Comply with all facility policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
