Job summary

La Crescenta Healthcare Center in California is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate, resident-centered team. The PTA will administer treatments, conduct tests, and support ongoing care within a defined plan of care.

The position offers a salary range of $81,120 to $93,600 per year for full- or part-time work, plus a sign-on bonus and benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k), PTO, referral bonuses and relocation reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a PTA program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• Current California PTA license.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, range of motion, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate in home assessments to ensure safe discharge with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes forms and documents per policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
