Job summary

La Crescenta Healthcare Center is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in California. The PTA will provide targeted treatment under an established plan of care, perform tests and measurements, and help ensure safe discharge planning for residents.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in PTA and a CA PTA license, with 1 year of clinical experience preferred. This PRN/on-call position offers a sign-on bonus and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
