Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality outpatient rehabilitation in collaboration with physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

You will perform evaluations, develop and monitor treatment plans, supervise rehab staff, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining compliance with IBJI guidelines. A strong emphasis on professional communication, patient-centered care, and ongoing professional development is required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds and use proper body mechanics.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and work on a computer for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care, interpreting physician orders, performing initial evaluations, establishing treatment plans and functional goals.
  • Update and amend treatment goals throughout the episode of care.
  • Document patient status and progress in compliance with IBJI rehab guidelines.
  • Determine appropriate discharge timeline and follow-up needs.
  • Supervise rehabilitation technicians, patient care and administrative staff as needed.
  • Complete required daily paperwork (initial evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP) in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with billing policies and demonstrate ethical billing practices.
  • Maintain an active state license by earning required CEUs through external courses and IBJI-sponsored opportunities.
  • Develop positive relationships with physician teams.
  • Participate actively in the patient medical team: office visits with physicians, contact with case managers, etc.
  • Engage in IBJI-sponsored programs such as mentoring, clinical education, special interest groups, and community outreach.

Job Summary
