Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

The position is under the general direction of the Facility Manager. The main focus of the position is on providing superior outpatient rehabilitation services through a collaborative care model with physicians in order to optimize performance and enhance the quality of function for patients.

Responsibilities
  • Exceptional patient care
  • Interpret physician orders, perform initial evaluations and establish treatment plans and functional goals
  • Update and amend treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care
  • Document patient status in written form for physicians per compliance guidelines of IBJI rehab
  • Determine appropriate discharge timeline and follow‑up
  • Supervise rehabilitation technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed
  • Maintain daily paperwork—initial evals, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP—timely and accurately
  • Stay current with billing policies and demonstrate ethical billing practices
  • Maintain an active state license by earning required CEUs through external courses and IBJI‑sponsored educational opportunities
  • Develop positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI
  • Participate in programs sponsored by IBJI: mentoring, clinical educator, special interest group, community outreach
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program
  • Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds
  • Demonstrate good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing
  • Ability to stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes
  • Ability to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary $82,000 – $110,000 per year
