The Office of Orthopedic Medicine and Surgery is an outpatient orthopaedic practice who treats a variety of conditions; from neck and back pain to total joints. The team is committed to excellent service, easy accessibility, and patient-centered care for individuals with musculoskeletal and rehabilitation needs. We are a Physician owned practice, where we strive to provide the best coordinated care. The practice provides a collaborative environment where clinicians work together to optimize patient outcomes. The office is located in Washington, DC and serves a diverse patient population seeking specialized orthopedic and rehabilitation care.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Physical Therapist role based in Washington, DC. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients with orthopedic and sports-related conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, function, and pain management. Daily responsibilities include performing comprehensive physical therapy assessments, administering manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, and guiding patients in the use of equipment, assistive devices, and home exercise programs. The role involves close collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and other clinicians to coordinate care, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed. The Physical Therapist will document all patient encounters accurately, educate patients and families on injury prevention and recovery, and support a safe, respectful, and inclusive clinical environment.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Orthopedics, with the ability to integrate clinical knowledge into treatment planning.
  • Demonstrated skills in Rehabilitation, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and functional training for orthopedic and sports-related conditions.
  • Commitment to high-quality Patient Care, including clear communication, empathy, and culturally sensitive practice.
  • Ability to design and oversee Home Care and home exercise programs that support continued recovery outside the clinic.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
  • Active Physical Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure) in the District of Columbia.
  • Experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, or outpatient musculoskeletal settings preferred.
  • Strong documentation, time management, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Ability to safely assist patients with varying mobility levels and use clinical equipment according to best practices.
