Job summary

MOTION Suffern, part of the Confluent Health family, is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist for outpatient orthopedic care. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday with structured 30-minute appointments, built-in documentation time, and a one-year mentorship for new graduates.

Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $112,000 plus incentives, a sign-on bonus, and up to $25,000 in student loan repayment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist with ability to obtain licensure in the state of practice.
• CPR and first aid certification required.
• Experience with outpatient orthopedic physical therapy during clinical rotations or as licensed therapist.

Responsibilities

• Apply clinical reasoning to assess movement dysfunction and plan care.
• Develop and adjust evidence-based plans of care aligned with patient goals.
• Deliver interventions including exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and modalities.
• Track patient outcomes and adjust approach as needed.
• Advocate for patients throughout recovery.

As part of the HSS Rehabilitation Network, you’ll treat a dynamic caseload spanning orthopedics, sports, post-surgical, vestibular, and geriatric rehabilitation in a clinic known for exceptional care and clinical excellence. Conveniently located off Route 59 in Montebello, the clinic is situated in a vibrant Rockland County medical hub near Good Samaritan Hospital and surrounding communities.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday (40 hours per week): Monday and Wednesday, 12:00 PM–8:00 PM; Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Responsibilities

As a PT, You’ll Achieve Success By:

• Applying your clinical reasoning to assess movement dysfunction and identify underlying causes through patient history and physical examination.
• Collaboratively developing and adjusting evidence-based plans of care that reflect each patient’s goals, needs, and lifestyle.
• Delivering skilled interventions, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and modalities, to improve function and reduce pain.
• Tracking meaningful patient outcomes and adjusting your approach based on progress and clinical presentation.
• Serving as a trusted resource and advocate for your patients throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

Physical Therapist Requirements:

• Licensed Physical Therapist (or ability to obtain in the state of practice)
• Passion for evidence-based, patient centered care
• CPR and first aid certification required
• Experience with outpatient orthopedic physical therapy treatment as a licensed therapist or during clinical rotations for new grads

Compensation: $85K - $112K+ inclusive of productivity incentives, with additional compensation opportunities for certifications. Benefits include generous paid time off, medical, dental, vision, disability, and 401(K) with a 4% employer match.
