Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, AZ. The role delivers evidence-based therapies across acute hospital and inpatient settings, with varied start times and a sign-on bonus.

This position emphasizes mobility, strength, pain management and patient education, with a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborative discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current PT license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Rehab or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, and delivers evidence-based physical therapy interventions across acute hospital, inpatient, medical-surgical and outpatient settings.
• Develops individualized treatment plans and provides therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, pain management and functional independence.
• Collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary care team and participates in discharge planning.
• Educates patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies.
• Maintains accurate documentation and ensures compliance with regulatory and facility standards.

Schedule: Med/Surg Inpatient, Varied start times between 0700 - 1800, weekend/holiday rotation, either 10 hr shifts 4x or 8hr shifts 5x

Canyon Vista Medical Center is located in the beautiful high desert of southeastern Arizona, committed to serve residents in Sierra Vista, Ft. Huachuca, Cochise County – a population of more than 131,000 people, and our surrounding communities. We’re comfortably nestled in the San Pedro River Valley, 75 miles southeast of Tucson. Canyon Vista Medical Center was founded in 1963 as Western Baptist Osteopathic Hospital on what was then the eastern edge of Sierra Vista. Growth and advancing technology dictated building our new 177,000 square foot hospital at 5700 E Hwy 90 completed in 2015.

How you’ll contribute

The Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates, plans, and delivers evidence‑based physical therapy interventions to patients across acute hospital, acute rehabilitation, inpatient, medical‑surgical, and outpatient care settings. This role conducts comprehensive assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides therapeutic interventions aimed at improving mobility, strength, pain management, and overall functional independence. The PT collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary care team, participates in discharge planning, and educates patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies. This position ensures accurate, timely documentation and maintains compliance with regulatory and facility standards while delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
