Qualifications

Canyon Vista Medical Center – 5700 E Hwy 90, Sierra Vista, AZ. A 100‑bed hospital serving the Sierra Vista, Ft. Huachuca, and Cochise communities.

Job Title

Physical Therapist (PT)
Job Type: Nonexempt, PRN
Schedule: Med/Surg Inpatient, Weekend and Holiday rotation as needed

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist assesses, plans, and delivers evidence‑based interventions to patients in acute, rehabilitation, inpatient, medical‑surgical, and outpatient settings. Key duties include:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, pain management, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in discharge planning.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current Physical Therapy license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support certification (required).
• Experience in rehab or acute care settings preferred.
