Job summary

Powder Springs Center For Nursing and Healing is seeking a Physical Therapist to plan and administer prescribed PT programs for residents. You will help restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following illness or injury, in a skilled nursing setting.

You will also supervise PT assistants and aides, and may mentor students in PT/PTA programs. Prior long-term care experience is preferred to join our supportive team.

Qualifications

• Active PT license in Georgia or ability to obtain license.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing homes preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to residents to restore function.
• Supervise PT assistants and aides; mentor PT/PTA students.
• Collaborate with care teams to support residents' rehabilitation goals.

Summary:

As a Physical Therapist at Powder Springs Center For Nursing and Healing, you will play a vital role in planning and administering a prescribed physical therapy treatment program. Your goal will be to help patients/residents restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following illness, disease, or injury. In addition to providing expert care, you will also have the opportunity to supervise physical therapy assistants and aides, as well as instruct students participating in PT and PTA programs. Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing homes is preferred.
