Job summary

Powder Springs Center for Nursing and Healing in Powder Springs, GA is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team and help restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability for residents in our 180-bed facility. The role involves planning and administering PT treatment programs, supervising assistants, and may include teaching PT/PTA students.

You will use evidence-based practices, collaborate with other clinicians, and maintain detailed progress records.

Qualifications

• Education: Certificate in Physical Therapy (PT).
• Experience: 1+ years as Physical Therapist, preferably in long-term care/skilled nursing.
• Certifications: American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer a prescribed physical therapy treatment program for patients/residents.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides.
• May instruct clinical portion of training for students in PT/PTA programs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress.
