Job summary

Powder Springs Center for Nursing and Healing in Powder Springs, GA is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to restore function and relieve pain for residents in a 180-bed facility.

The role includes supervising PT assistants, applying evidence-based treatment plans, collaborating with the care team, and maintaining patient records. APTA certification is preferred and experience in long-term care is valued.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Physical Therapy (PT).
• 1+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in long-term care/skilled nursing home settings.
• American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer a prescribed physical therapy treatment program for patients/residents.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides.
• May instruct clinical portion of training for students participating in PT and PTA programs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress.
