Job summary

Brooklyn Medical in New York City seeks a Physical Therapist to join a network of ambulatory care centers serving Union members. The role offers a stable schedule with no weekends or overnights and requires flexibility to float between Midtown, Harlem, Brooklyn, and Queens.

You will evaluate patients, design therapy programs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to restore function and improve quality of life for diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Physical Therapy Program.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in New York.
• 1+ year outpatient orthopedic experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative care team.
• High energy and customer service oriented.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to navigate and use electronic medical records.
• MDT (McKenzie) knowledge or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function, prevent disability following injury, disease, or loss of body part.
• Help patients reach maximum performance level.
• Evaluate patient's level of physical functioning and provide training and/or assistive devices to eliminate or reduce deficits.
• Work with other professional staff to establish rehabilitation and maintenance goals/activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and contribute to team effort.

Salary Range: $88,000.00 To $102,000.00 Annually

*The Physical Therapist must be able to float between locations (Midtown, Harlem, Brooklyn, and Queens) in the event of a scheduled or unscheduled absence, or based on operational needs*

Our organization operates several multi-disciplinary ambulatory care centers throughout New York City that were created to serve our Union members and their families. We offer Primary Care, Dental, Radiological, Vision, Mental Health, and other Specialist services at our facilities at no charge to our Union members, removing the financial roadblock that many people face when trying to obtain quality medical care. We are looking for a Physical Therapist to help in our mission of providing top notch services to our Union members. It's an exciting opportunity for any Physical Therapist looking to make an impact for under-represented communities and want a stable work schedule (No weekends and no overnights!).

Job Responsibilities/Duties

• Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function, prevent disability following injury, disease, or loss of body part
• Help patients reach maximum performance level
• Evaluate patient's level of physical functioning and provide training and/or assistive devices to eliminate or reduce areas of deficit, usaully assocaited with gross motor disorders and functioning
• Work with other professional staff to establish rehabilitation and maintennace goals/activities
• Provide excellent customer service and contribute to team effort

Education and Experience

• Graduate of Physical Therapy Program
• Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of New York
• Highly flexible with schedule in both time and location (able to work a mix of 7:30am-3:30pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm, or 11am-7pm shifts)
• At least 1 year of outpatient orthopedic experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative care team
• High energy and customer service oriented
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to navigate and use electronic medical records
• MDT (McKenzie) knowledge or training preferred (but not required)
