Job summary

Parsons Hill Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Worcester is seeking a Physical Therapist to assess residents, plan care, and provide direct treatment within an established care plan. The role includes supervising other therapists and training staff as required, contributing to clinical program development and ongoing quality improvement.

The position requires a Physical Therapy degree (BS/MS/PhD) and appropriate state licensure, with strong communication, organizational, and multitasking

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
• Appropriate licensing requirements by individual states must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients/residents.
• Evaluate patients/residents and develop care plans.

Up to $50 an hour with weekly pay. Up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus available!*

Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapist, you will provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload. You will also participate in the clinical team process, provide teaching and training to caregiver staff, and supervise other therapists, assistants, aides, and students as required.

Responsibilities:

• Screens patients/residents
• Evaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care
• Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program
• Consults with and trains patients, residents, and caregivers
• Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor
• Documents activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basisDemonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
• Communicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers, and supervisor
• Provides appropriate consultation to the facility
• Participates in clinical program development and implementation
• Participates in the training and orientation of other staff, students, and volunteers
• Participates in the interview process for new staff
• Participates in census building and marketing activities
• Participates in quality improvement activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree, Master of Science, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
• Appropriate licensing requirements by individual states must be maintained
• Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care
• Requires intense attention and concentration
• Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
