Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. in Beaumont, VA is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care in a correctional setting. The role offers local pay at $60.00/hour (W2) and a 40-hour week in a professional healthcare environment.

You will evaluate and treat patients, develop individualized plans, and work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care while maintaining thorough documentation and ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Current, valid VA license/certification in good standing as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a PT.
• Copy of PSV from the licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to assess mobility, strength, balance, and functional limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other rehabilitation techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, injury prevention, and home exercise programs.
• Assist patients in restoring function following injury, surgery, or illness.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote patient independence and improve overall quality of life through rehabilitation services.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties & Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a PT
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
