Job summary

RTX BBN Technologies seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead system requirements, decompose and validate across multiple engineering disciplines, and interface with external scientists and program management. The role is onsite with optional remote work one day per week in Middletown, RI.

The candidate should have a STEM degree with 5 years of experience (or an advanced degree with 3 years) and must be able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead program for managing system requirements.
• Capture requirements baseline in a requirements database.
• Maintain requirements database via configuration management processes.
• Decompose Level 1 requirements to Levels 2–4 with cross‑discipline collaboration.
• Develop and execute the requirements verification strategy.
• Coordinate with Design and Test leads for validation plans.
