Job summary

Mason Technologies Inc. in New York City or Deer Park, NY is seeking a seasoned Physical Security Systems Engineer to design, estimate, implement, and support integrated security solutions. The role covers site surveys through commissioning and closeout.

The ideal candidate manages projects with a hands-on engineering mindset, coordinates with clients, vendors, and field personnel, and travels within the NY/NJ tri-state area for surveys and installations.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years designing, implementing, and supporting physical security or low-voltage systems.
• Strong knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security platforms.
• Experience with LenelS2 or AMAG Symmetry platforms preferred.
• Knowledge of Bosch and Honeywell intrusion systems.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam for drawing reviews, takeoffs, estimating, site surveys, and as-built markups.
• Experience using AutoCAD for security system layouts and drawing coordination.
• Ability to read architectural, electrical, and low-voltage drawings.
• Valid driver's license; ability to travel 25-40% around NY/NJ tri-state area.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of integrated physical security projects.
• Review RFPs, drawings, specifications, and site conditions to develop scopes, costs, bids, and proposals.
• Conduct site surveys and technical assessments; translate requirements into layouts and BOMs.
• Design medium to large-scale security systems including access control, video, intrusion, and intercoms.
• Estimate installation labor and material costs from drawings and field data.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, POs, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, technicians, and stakeholders to maintain schedules.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support and troubleshooting.
• Assist with system startup, testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
