Job summary

Mason Technologies seeks an experienced Physical Security Systems Engineer to design, estimate, implement, and support integrated security solutions across NY/NJ. You will manage projects from site surveys through installation, commissioning, and closeout, coordinating with clients, vendors, and field personnel.

The role requires hands-on engineering mindset, strong communication, and ability to travel 25–40% in the tri-state area to surveys, installations, and customer meetings.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years designing, implementing, and supporting physical security or low-voltage systems.
• Strong knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security platforms.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting security platforms (LenelS2, AMAG, Bosch, Honeywell).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam for layouts, takeoffs, and as-built drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of integrated physical security projects from surveys to closeout.
• Review RFPs, drawings, specs, and site conditions to develop scopes and proposals.
• Conduct site surveys and translate requirements into layouts, BOMs, and installation plans.
• Design medium to large-scale security systems including access control and cameras.
• Estimate labor and material costs based on drawings and site assessments.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, POs, change orders, and project docs.
• Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel to maintain schedules.
• Provide onsite and remote support and troubleshoot system integrations.
• Assist with startup, testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
