Job description

We are seeking an Application Engineer to support enterprise physical security and access control systems within a large corporate environment. This individual will primarily support CCURE 9000 and Genetec Security Center, troubleshooting system issues and configuring physical access for buildings and users.

This is a hands-on, service-oriented role working closely with security, IT, project teams, and other engineers. The environment is ticket-driven, so the ideal candidate is comfortable troubleshooting issues, managing multiple requests, and supporting users while maintaining reliable physical security systems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support and administer CCURE 9000 and Genetec Security Center
• Configure and program doors, access levels, permissions, and other access-control functions
• Troubleshoot access-control and physical security system issues
• Investigate user-reported problems and determine root cause
• Manage assigned service tickets through resolution
• Support new buildings and security-system implementations
• Partner with IT and project teams on system integrations and technical issues
• Assist with ongoing system maintenance, configuration, and administration
• Collaborate with other engineers to resolve more complex CCURE and Genetec issues

Must-Haves

• Hands-on experience with CCURE 9000 and/or Genetec Security Center
• Experience working with physical security, electronic security, or access-control systems
• Experience configuring, administering, or troubleshooting enterprise access-control systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience working within a ticket-based support environment
• Ability to collaborate with IT, security, engineering, and project teams
• Ability to work onsite in South San Francisco 3 days per week
• Strong communication and customer-service skills

This is a physical security technology role, not traditional software engineering.
