Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking a Physical Security Engineer to implement, configure, test, and commission access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems for client projects. You will work with project managers, solutions engineers, and installers to deliver high-quality, compliant security solutions.

You will travel to customer sites as required, ensuring installations meet specifications and are completed on schedule while maintaining strong customer satisfaction and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience implementing physical security systems (Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection).
• Experience configuring and commissioning enterprise physical security systems.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, switches, VLANs, IP-based devices).
• Familiarity with multiple physical security manufacturers and platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement physical security solutions per designs, specs, and customer requirements.
• Configure, program, test, and commission Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Intrusion Detection systems.
• Perform system startup, testing, and troubleshooting prior to delivery.
• Install and configure system hardware, software, servers, and networked devices.
• Train end users on operation and basic administration after deployment.
• Maintain compliance with standards and regulations and participate in project planning.
