People Driven Technology, Inc in Columbus, OH is seeking a Systems Engineer – Physical Security to install, commission and test access control and video surveillance systems. You will lead project delivery cycles, work with enterprise architects, and ensure secure, reliable solutions for diverse environments.

The role requires proactive, customer-focused professionals with hands-on installation experience and the ability to translate project plans into practical deployments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Certification in Genetec, Avigilon, and Milestone.
• Previous access control and/or video surveillance installation experience preferred.
• Strong customer-relationship skills as primary contact for high-touch customers.
• Analytical thinker with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission physical security systems including access control and video surveillance.
• Install low-voltage wiring and hardware.
• Program and configure network appliances and related software.
• Commission and test newly installed systems.
• Review project plans and specifications and execute accordingly.
• Participate in meetings with stakeholders and document outcomes.
• Create end-user training materials and train users.
• Maintain installation records and as-built documentation.
• Provide subject matter expertise in access control and video surveillance.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve service issues promptly.
• Operate company vehicle safely.
• Obtain and maintain industry certifications and licenses.
