Job summary

The City of Austin’s Austin Water department seeks a Project Coordinator to support engineering and program activities. Under general supervision, you will coordinate project budgets, assist with contract documents, and help implement short- and long-range project plans.

You will communicate with internal and external stakeholders, ensure regulatory compliance, review change orders, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with three years of experience in construction, engineering, architecture, or related work. Experience may substitute for education up to four years.
• Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and codes associated with project assignment.
• Experience with project budgeting, contracts, and change orders.

• Communicates project and/or program information to internal and external customers.
• Assists in the development and monitoring of project budgets and change orders.
• Assists in developing operating policies and procedures and implementing short- and long-range plans.
