Job summary

Dunbar Security Solutions is seeking an Operations Manager to direct multiple unarmed security officer contracts and serve as the primary liaison with customers, the Director of Guard Services, sales, and HQ.

This role emphasizes supervision of supervisors and guards, scheduling, site inspections, budget oversight, and ensuring adherence to post orders, safety, and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain a GA Unarmed Certification.
• 3-5 years of relevant security personnel management experience of 3000+ weekly hours preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen and have a clean criminal background.
• Must have a current valid driver's license with a clean driving record and dependable transportation.
• Able to handle stressful situations and maintain self-control.
• Must have or be able to acquire first aid and CPR certification.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide and supervise all shift supervisors, security officers and related site activities.
• Recruit, hire, train, and manage career advancement for the guard force.
• Ensure site Post Orders are current and followed.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and recommend security improvements.
• Schedule personnel and assign officers to sites.
• Ensure officers are properly uniformed and equipped.
• Maintain vehicle fleet logistics and DOT records.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain action logs.
• Assist in budgeting for operations and expenses.
• Provide on-site supervision as needed and be available 24/7.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.

Job Skills / Requirements

Summary/Objective

The Operations Manager responsible for the overall direction and daily operation of multiple unarmed security officer contracts. This person is the primary liaison between Dunbar Guard Services and our contract customers, and works closely with Dunbar Director of Guard Services, sales team and headquarters support staff.

Essential Functions

1. 1. Responsible for the guidance and supervision of all shift supervisors, security officers and related site activities.
2. 2. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, career advancement and disciplinary action for the entire assigned guard force.
3. 3. Maintains detailed knowledge of all job site requirements. Assures the site "Post Orders" are current, relevant, readily available, and being adhered to.
4. 4. Maintains a close working relationship with the customer representatives. Resolves issues, performs site inspections and makes recommendations for security improvements. Embraces a philosophy of superior customer service.
5. 5. Supervises and assists in personnel scheduling and assigning security officers to site.
6. 6. Assures all security officers are properly uniformed and have the required equipment / duty gear.
7. 7. Maintains the site fleet vehicle, to include: maintenance schedules, site schedules, vehicle log books, vehicle inspections, driving records, DOT certifications, etc.
8. 8. Conducts random job site inspections and maintains a log of all supervisor site visits, security officer inspections, customer contacts and follow up actions.
9. 9. In conjunction with the Director of Guard Services, maintains operational and expense budgets.
10. 10. As necessary, performs security guard services to fill temporary opening and/or to provide on-site supervision.
11. 11. 24/7 Availability.
12. 12. Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
