Our Corporate Physical Security team ensures the physical security and safety of Spectrum employees, property, and customers. CPS operates out of corporate campuses throughout the country and works with partners in more than 41 states to provide a full range of security and customer services.

As a Physical Security Officer at Spectrum, your primary objective is to ensure the safety and protection of individuals, property, and sensitive information within our corporate campuses and facilities. You will maintain a secure work environment and uphold professionalism and courtesy. Key responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access control systems and cameras, screening deliveries, and responding to incidents according to protocols. You will also gain expertise in Spectrum’s security platforms.

WHAT OUR PHYSICAL SECURITY OFFICERS ENJOY MOST

• Conducting all aspects of daily security operations, including:

• Controlling Access
• Interior and Exterior Patrols
• Responding to Alarms
• Mail Safe Program
• Responding to Critical Incidents
• Investigating Suspicious Behavior and Breaches
• Reporting to Chain of Command
• Contacting Emergency Services

• Reporting security vulnerabilities and safety issues

• Creating incident reports

• Coordinating with internal partners

• Handling sensitive information per policies

• Adhering to Spectrum’s policies and Code of Conduct

• Knowing post orders and procedures

• Maintaining service quality and policy compliance

• Maintaining equipment

• Learning Spectrum security platforms

• Occasional assignments to events

• Completing required training

• Serving as backup and working irregular hours

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Office software skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Ability to operate radios, phones, and applications
• Willingness to learn Spectrum’s security systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Security Certification
• Customer service experience in retail or hospitality
• Law enforcement training
