Job summary

UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement in Evanston, IL seeks a Physical Security Manager to build and maintain our security program protecting people, facilities, and assets across multiple sites. You will lead security systems (access control, CCTV, alarms), conduct risk assessments, manage vendors and budgets, and coordinate incident response with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in physical security, corporate security, facilities security, or related discipline.
• Experience managing enterprise security systems and vendor relationships; multi-site environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continually improve physical security standards, policies, and programs across ULRI/ULSE.
• Manage security systems and technologies (access control, badge administration, CCTV, intrusion detection, alarms, visitor management, key control).
• Conduct risk assessments for facilities and recommend mitigations.
• Lead incident response and investigations involving unauthorized access or security events.
• Manage security vendors, scopes of work, budgets, and system upgrades.
