Job summary

UL Research Institutes in Evanston, IL, seeks a Physical Security Manager to develop and oversee the organization’s physical security program, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, visitor management, and incident response across locations.

You will lead security risk assessments, coordinate with facilities and project teams, manage vendors, and drive security metrics, audits, and regulatory readiness to ensure a safe, compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, Risk Management, Facilities Management, IT, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in physical security, corporate security, facilities security, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience managing enterprise security systems and vendor relationships.
• Experience with multi-site corporate environments and security infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain physical security standards, policies, and programs across the organization.
• Manage security systems including access control, CCTV, visitor management, alarms, and incident response.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and security project management with internal/external partners.
