Job summary

People Driven Technology, Inc. Wixom, MI seeks an Engineering Assistant, Physical Security to support design and project delivery across our physical security practice.

You will prepare CAD drawings, system diagrams, hardware submittals, as-built documentation, and closeout packages for RFP responses and phased-construction projects. The ideal candidate has an associate degree or technical certificate and 2+ years in physical security or related fields; proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam is

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in drafting, engineering technology, physical security, low-voltage systems, building automation, construction technology, or related field.
• Two or more years of hands-on experience in physical security, low-voltage systems, building automation, electrical systems, or construction design environments.
• Proficiency with Autodesk applications such as AutoCAD; Revit or comparable tools a plus.
• Ability to read and apply construction drawings, floor plans, risers, cabling information, product documentation, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Produce and revise physical security CAD drawings, floor plans, risers, wiring diagrams, device layouts, system diagrams using Autodesk tools.
• Translate project drawings, specifications, product data, and field information into coordinated deliverables.
• Quality-check and submit hardware submittals, shop drawings, product data, and system diagrams.
