Job summary
People Driven Technology, Inc, a Midwest technology integrator, is seeking an Engineering Assistant, Physical Security in Columbus, OH. You will prepare CAD drawings, system diagrams, and closeout packages for RFPs and phased-construction projects, interpreting physical security architecture and translating field data into deliverables.
The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, 2+ years in physical security or related fields, and proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit is a plus.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certificate in drafting, engineering technology, physical security, or a related field.
- Two or more years in physical security, low-voltage systems, or a comparable technical design environment.
- Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD; Revit or similar tools is a plus.
- Ability to read and apply construction drawings, floor plans, cabling, and specs.
- Experience supporting submittals, shop drawings, product data, and closeout packages.
Responsibilities
- Create CAD and Technical Design Deliverables: Produce CAD drawings, floor plans, risers, wiring diagrams, and system diagrams using Autodesk tools.
- Translate project drawings, specifications, product data, and field conditions into coordinated deliverables.
- Prepare submittals, as-built drawings, closeout documentation, and manage version control.
