Job summary

People Driven Technology, Inc in Pickerington, Ohio seeks an Engineering Assistant for Physical Security to support CAD drawings, system diagrams, hardware submittals, as-built documents, and closeout packs for RFPs and phased-construction projects. The role requires interpreting physical security architectures, creating accurate deliverables, and coordinating with project teams.

Proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam is expected; Revit is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in drafting, engineering technology, physical security, low-voltage systems, or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in physical security, low-voltage systems, building automation, or similar environments.
• Proficiency with Autodesk applications such as AutoCAD; Revit is a plus.
• Ability to read and apply construction drawings, floor plans, cabling, specs, and redlines.
• Experience supporting submittals, shop drawings, product data, and closeout packages.
• Strong organizational, communication, and deadline-management skills.
• Experience with Procore, Textura, or similar CM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD drawings, floor plans, risers, wiring and diagrams using Autodesk tools.
• Prepare submittals, shop drawings, product data, diagrams, and transmittals.
• Produce final as-built drawings and closeout documentation from approved designs and field updates.
• Maintain drawing standards, templates, and version control across projects.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Operations Lead to align deliverables with schedules.
• Support QA/QC by reviewing deliverables for accuracy and consistency.
