Job summary

Chestnut Health Company in Missouri is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Physiatry team. You will collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other clinicians to plan and execute rehabilitation programs aimed at restoring function and independence for patients.

Qualifications

• Actively licensed to practice in the state employed
• Current DEA License
• NCCPA Certification
• Desire to work in Physiatry/PM&R
• Prior orthopedic experience is a plus
• Experience in physiatry or skilled nursing settings is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement rehabilitation plans
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including histories and examinations
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize functional outcomes
• Engage in multidisciplinary meetings and educational activities to enhance clinical skills
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in EMR
• Educate patients and families about the rehabilitation process, expectations, and post-discharge care
