Qualifications

• Active nurse practitioner license in the state of employment.
• Current DEA license.
• ANCC or AANP Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Desire to work in Physiatry/PM&R.
• Orthopedic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation treatment plans.
• Conduct patient assessments including medical histories and examinations to determine rehabilitation goals and interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize functional outcomes and independence.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing education to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in EMR systems.
• Educate patients and families about the rehabilitation process, expected outcomes, and post-discharge care.
