Qualifications

• Actively Licensed to practice in the state of employment.
• Current Controlled Substance License (required on start).
• Current DEA License (required on start).
• ANCC or AANP nurse practitioner certification.
• Interest in Physiatry/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
• Conduct patient assessments including histories, exams, and diagnostics to set rehab goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to optimize functional outcomes and independence.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and education to enhance skills.
• Document evaluations, plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in EMR.
• Educate patients and families about rehab processes, outcomes, and post-discharge care.
