Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine in California is seeking a 1099 Physiatrist to diagnose and treat work-related injuries, focusing on pain management and rehabilitation. You will collaborate with physical therapists, chiropractors, and other clinicians to help injured workers return to work quickly.

The role emphasizes fast scheduling, thorough EMR documentation, and active employer collaboration for case management. CA license and active DEA are preferred; PM&R board eligibility is desirable.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with unrestricted California medical license.
• Board certification or eligibility in occupational medicine, physical medicine, or related field.
• Active DEA registration and BLS certification.
• Experience in occupational medicine or outpatient rehab preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR and patient management software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal and neurology-related work injuries.
• Develop individualized rehab plans including therapy, medications, injections, and non-surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document care accurately in EMR and monitor patient progress.
• Educate patients on injury prevention and rehabilitation processes.
• Engage in employer case management and active communication.
