Job summary

Motu Novu LLC is seeking a PHP Developer to write fast, maintainable server-side PHP code and participate in all phases of the development life-cycle. The role is remote, global, and offered to independent contractors with a flexible 15–25 hour weekly schedule.

Required are knowledge of PHP, Symfony, jQuery, HTML/CSS/JS, Git, and databases (MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL). CEFR B2 English or higher is expected, with relocation optional to Cody, Wyoming if feasible after multi-year collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience or more.
• Independent contractor with flexible schedule (15–25 hours/week).
• Remote (Global) work arrangement; English level CEFR B2 or higher.

Job description

Motu Novu seeks to retain the services of a PHP Developer capable of writing beautiful, fast PHP server-side code, to contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support of applications used by the firm and/or its clients. The position is remote and available to residents of all Countries, except: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and certain areas of Ukraine.

Basics

• Maintain well-written, terse, useful documentation for existing and new applications.

What You Need

Technical

• Good knowledge of the fundamentals of programming.
• Good knowledge of PHP.
• Knowledge of Symfony and jQuery.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Git.
• Familiarity with React, MySQL/MariaDB and/or PostgreSQL.

Non-Technical

• Confident and poised attitude in internal and external interactions.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• English - European CEFR Level B2 or higher or equivalent proficiency.
• Bone-fide setup as an independent contractor.
