MKS Inc. is offering an onsite Photonics technical content intern role at our Irvine, California facility.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Corporate Marketing to develop high-quality, technically accurate content that communicates the value and applications of our photonics solutions. Responsibilities include creating application notes, product descriptions, white papers, and guides; partnering with SMEs; supporting launches; and maintaining content

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an advanced degree (MS or PhD) in photonics, physics, engineering, or related field.
• 1–2 years in technical writing, content development, or technical marketing in photonics/optics/lasers.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear content for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with SMEs and cross-functional teams; CMS and analytics proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Develop clear, accurate technical content such as notes, product descriptions, white papers, and guides.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and product managers to gather insights and craft messaging.
• Support content needs for product launches and marketing campaigns across channels.
• Ensure content aligns with brand, accuracy, and compliance guidelines.
• Maintain content libraries and documentation processes for version control and accessibility.
• Coordinate with marketing and creative teams for diagrams, videos, and multimedia assets.
• Use analytics and stakeholder feedback to improve content effectiveness over time.
