Job summary

MKS is seeking a Photonics technical content intern to collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Corporate Marketing. You will create high-quality, technically accurate content that showcases photonics solutions and helps customers understand performance, applications, and value.

This onsite role is based at Irvine, California. You will gather insights from engineers and PMs, develop application notes, product descriptions, white papers, and guides, and support content for

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an advanced degree (MS or PhD) in photonics, physics, engineering, or related field.
• 1–2 years in technical writing, content development, or technical marketing in photonics or related tech.
• Ability to translate complex tech into clear, engaging content for varied audiences.
• Experience collaborating with engineers and product managers.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical content such as notes, product descriptions, white papers, and guides.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and PMs to gather insights for messaging.
• Support content for product launches and campaigns across channels.
• Ensure content meets brand standards, technical accuracy, and compliance.
• Maintain content libraries and documentation processes for version control.
• Support multimedia content with diagrams, videos, and animations.
• Use analytics and stakeholder feedback to improve content effectiveness.
